Recruitment and Induction, ACAS, Edinburgh
25th October 9.30am - 1.30pm

Most employers recognise that their staff are their greatest asset. A sound recruitment procedure is vital for finding people with the right skills and abilities for the job. Recruiting on this basis also helps avoid complaints of unlawful discrimination. After selection, a good induction programme is the best way to help a new employee settle into the organisation and become effective in the shortest possible time. In this training session we introduce the key steps of the recruitment and induction process. Our aim is to help you find the right people for your vacancies, then help you to introduce them to your way of working.

In this training session we provide guidance on best practice in reducing levels of absenteeism. We also take you through the process of identifying patterns of absence, dealing with frequent short term absence and handling long term absence.
